Joining God's work of cultivating new beginnings
in all of us, everywhere.
Sundays | 10:45am
3978 W. Broadway, Robbinsdale
We have weekly Sunday classes for children infants through 5th grade. All children participating in our programming check in at our kids’ check-in desk before going to their classrooms. We celebrate holidays together in the service; classes are only offered for infants and toddlers on those special days.
What are Sundays like?
We meet at Elim Church Center (3978 W. Broadway in Robbinsdale) at 10:45am on Sunday mornings. We like to call ourselves warmly liturgical: we sing, pray, preach, and celebrate the Eucharist (communion) together every Sunday. The atmosphere is interactive and intimate. The music is understated and beautiful. The prayers are often call and response. We move forward out of our seats to receive the Eucharist (which we do every week). The sermon is conversational and thoughtful. People dress casually. Parking is easy and convenient. The whole thing lasts about an hour.
This Week's Scripture Portion
The church calendar reminds us of the cyclical nature of life and it helps us orient ourselves to a rhythm that repeats itself, season by season. We follow the church calendar and each week our pastors teach on one of the four passages found in the Revised Common Lectionary.
Our very own Nick Throckmorton created a site for people to read and listen to next Sunday's readings from the Revised Common Lectionary each day. Check it out:
